A small software studio developing iPhone applications as well as audio/visual focused plugins.
Temperanda is a software studio run by Luke Smith, based in Chicago. It started in 2026 with a simple idea: the tools we wanted did not exist yet, so we would make them.
What we make
iPhone apps. Small, focused apps for everyday problems. The first is Permanence, an app for keeping your goals in view and your distracting apps in check.
Max for Live devices. Instruments and effects for Ableton Live, built in Max, designed to be played rather than configured.
Audio plugins. VST3 and AU plugins for the tools that live outside Ableton.
How we work
We build one thing at a time and finish it. Every product here started as something we needed ourselves, in the studio or on the phone, and each one is used daily by the people who make it.
